Superalp GTX

The Men's Superalp GTX is the lighter, more breathable member of AKU's Superalp family, handcrafted in our Montebelluna, Italy factory for hikers who carry heavy loads over multiple days: the Alta Via of the Dolomites, a week in the Rockies, or an early-season hunt. A 1.6 mm suede upper with AIR8000® technology and a waterproof GORE-TEX® More Seasons lining keeps feet dry and breathing, a full-wrap rubber rand shields the boot from rock and scree, and AKU's IMS³ Exoskeleton midsole delivers stability under a heavy pack at a category-leading 725 grams per boot. Fully resolable, so it's built for years of service.

An external PU structure provides stability and protection under heavy loads, a lightweight inner core provides cushioning, and the whole package sits at the top of the backpacking category for lightness.
• Suede + AIR8000® Upper: 1.6 mm suede built with AKU's AIR8000® technology, up to 11x more breathable than standard GORE-TEX lamination, over a waterproof GORE-TEX® More Seasons lining. About 85 g lighter per boot than the nubuck Superalp NBK.
• 360° Protective Rubber Rand: A full-wrap rand shields the suede from rock strike, scree, and abrasion where boots wear first. The boot is also fully resolable to extend its life.
